Long tapering drops of Fryite jasper hang from sculpted sterling silver lotus posts, their sweeping bands of dusk tan, cream, and smoky blue moving the full length of the stone. Each layer formed slowly inside the basalt of one small river valley, and nothing about it was rushed. Bar prongs hold the stone at the top and base, and the open back leaves the pattern whole.
