Boreal Berry Basket began in the muskeg, kneeling among the wild bog cranberries of Southeast Alaska each fall. Berry-toned glass seed beads are woven by hand, row by row, into a soft matte tapestry of color, then crowned with a sterling silver top stamped with a tiny berry print and softened with oxidation. A few hammered pairs are still tucked in the basket too.
Berry tones have long been tied to vitality, warmth, and a well-fed heart. They're a little reminder to gather what nourishes you before the cold season comes.
