You can spend years polishing yourself for eyes that never quite turn your way, and somewhere in that waiting, forget that your light was never theirs to approve.
The stone in this ring never waited for anyone. A Herkimer diamond facets itself, deep in a dark pocket of rock, no cutter, no audience, no help. It comes out of the earth already finished. Water-clear, double-pointed, complete.
And it carries something most stones don't. Quartz is piezoelectric, meaning it generates an electric charge under pressure. Pressed, it answers with energy. That's not metaphor, that's mineralogy, and it's why Herkimers have been carried for centuries as high-vibration stones, the kind that hum quietly along with you through a long day and remind you what you're made of when the pressure comes.
Lumen sets that stone in four prongs above a leaf-detailed sterling band, the oxidation darkened into every vein of the leafwork so the detail reads like a real leaf in low light, dew at first light, held but never trapped. This is the diamond you give yourself. Not the one you wait for. The one that, like you, made its own light in the dark and came out whole.
