Safe Harbor
Gobi Desert Turquoise Pendant · Cradled Setting · One-of-a-Kind
Some pieces are about letting yourself be held.
Safe Harbor features a rare, high-grade Gobi Desert turquoise from southern Mongolia. The stone is soft sky-blue and pale green-blue, with yellow and brown matrix mapped across the surface like islands. The cabochon sits in a silver bezel, held by leaves and dewdrops on each side. Another leaf at the top curls down to hold the stone. The setting tells the story. The leaves do what the wearer has not always let anyone do for them.
Turquoise has carried protection across every culture that has worn it. The amulet against falling. The talisman of communication. The stone people carry when they need courage to speak the truth. Gobi Desert turquoise holds the memory of harsh land, slow to create something this blue.
For the person who is allowing themselves to be held. The one who has offered safety for so many others needed reminding they're worthy of it, too.
