The exact polishing cloth I reach for at my bench in the Ship Shop Studio, and the same one that ships as a starter with every Twisted Ginger piece. After years of trying every method out there, this is the one that genuinely works without scratching, dulling, or stripping the textures and patina I spent hours creating.
When your starter cloth has gone fully dark on both sides, this is your replacement. It handles about 80% of the tarnish you'll ever see on your sterling silver, in about sixty seconds per piece.

How to use it:
- Rub gently over tarnished areas with light pressure and short strokes
- Turn to a fresh section as the cloth darkens
- Fold to a point for tight corners, bezels, and recessed textures
- Don't wash it. The polishing compounds are embedded in the fabric, and washing them out leaves you with a regular cloth that no longer does the job
- When both sides are fully dark, retire it and grab a new one
Safe for:
- All sterling silver and fine silver
- Solid gold (gentle pressure)
- Most non-porous gemstone settings (work carefully around the bezel, not across the stone face)
Important: Never let the cloth slide directly across turquoise, pearls, opals, or any porous or organic stone. Clean the silver around them only.
