Stronghold
Saw-Cut Kingman Turquoise Ring · Size 9.5–10 · One-of-a-Kind
Some pieces hold the line.
Stronghold is set with high-grade Kingman turquoise from the famous Ottson family, soft blue with two small flecks of gold, and a generous run of brown matrix laid through the body of the stone. The traditional saw-cut border is hand-soldered around the bezel, the cuts radiating outward like rays of sunrise across the silver. The frontier shank carries a single Alaskan gold nugget on either side, cradling the stone the way the rope inlay cradles the bezel. Substantial weight on the hand. Built to stay.
Turquoise has carried voice, courage, and protection in jewelry since long before the word jewelry existed. It is a sky stone, a bridge between the earthly and the spiritual, an old talisman of safe passage. The traditional saw-cut border honors a craft form passed down through generations of silversmiths working with this stone. It lets the metal tell the story alongside the cabochon it holds.
This is a piece for the person who has become the steady center others stand on. The one who holds the line without making a show of it. The one whose strength is the quietest thing in the room.
