Number 8 Turquoise Hoops II · One-of-a-Kind
There is something about the things you cannot replace.
These stones are also Number 8 turquoise, from the closed Eureka County mine, and from old stock saved before the gold company finished erasing the deposit. The pattern on these two runs is warmer than its sister pair. Golden and bold, the spiderweb lies across the stone's body like a conversation about everything that lasted.
They hang from the Whimsy Berry Leaf hoops, with French hooks, with sterling silver leaves curling beneath the lobe. The silver-dusted detail catches light, making the earrings shimmer and draw attention. The silver dewdrops scattered through the leaves create a fresh, luminous look, as if morning hasn't burned them off yet.
Turquoise carries voice, courage, and protection. Number 8 carries the additional weight of being the last of itself. Stones from this mine will only become rarer. Wearing them is wearing something the next generation will not be able to source. A piece of evidence that the world had this in it, once.
For the person who treasures what they carry.
